"The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world" In today's Gospel, we hear that the Kingdom of Heaven is a Garden, here and now, weeds and all.
Adam was commanded to till and to keep ... to be the gardener ... to serve and protect God's creation. On the day of the Resurrection Mary Magdalene does not recognize Jesus, and "mistakes" Him for the gardener ... but isn't it so true that when we seek Jesus even our mistakes lead us to the Truth.
Jesus, the New Adam, serves and protects God's New Creation, He serves and protects Us. He tills and keeps the garden. Let us pray that we recognize the presence of the Gardener, His presence in our day to day lives.
Saint Mary Magdalene, Apostle of the Apostles, Pray for Us.
Jesus Christ, Son of Man, Gardener of the Kingdom, till us and keep us
that together as your wheat we bear much fruit.
